Prachi of Ghaziabad started home decoration items from home 3 years ago, now annual turnover is Rs 14 lakh

The demand for creative products has increased in recent years. People are using such products to decorate homes, kitchen decorations or to give a better look to the office. Prachi Bhatia, a resident of Ghaziabad, is designing and marketing one such creative product. He started his startup three years ago. Through which they are supplying their products across the country. Last year his turnover was Rs 14 lakh. This year his target is to achieve revenue of 25 to 30 lakh rupees.

26-year-old Prachi belongs to a middle class family. His early education took place in Delhi. After this, in 2017, he completed his graduation in Product Designing from a college in Gurugram.

Prachi says I wanted to be self dependent. So she was in the last year since then she started working in a company. I got placement after bachelors. The salary was not very high but the income was getting decent. After working for about a year, I felt that I had learned the work of product designing. Now the experience of its marketing should also be taken, so that if needed, I can do my own work.

Prachi says that about one lakh rupees was my savings. With his help, I designed 5 to 6 products and got them manufactured from a local manufacturing unit. In which there were baskets in the shape of a cage and some kitchen use products. All these products were unique, creative and affordable. After this started marketing through social media platforms. Gradually the demand for their product increased. Right now more than 100 orders are coming to them every month.

Prachi says that I started with social media. After this launched his own website named chokhat.in. I had thought that through this I would get two-four orders a day, but it did not happen. I got only one order in the first month. Then I realized that we don’t have much reach on social media. 100-200 people know me. Similarly, there are thousands of such websites on Google. In such a situation, why will people buy our own product and how will we reach it?

हर महीने प्राची के पास अभी देशभर से 100 से ज्यादा ऑर्डर्स आ रहे हैं।

Right now Prachi is marketing more than 70 products. This includes products from home decoration to kitchen and wedding decorations. The basket in the shape of a cage is their best selling product. Similarly, the tray also sells well. All these products are made of wood or metal. Their design and look are related to nature and environment. Their price range is between 500 to 3000. Prachi claims that their products are cheap as compared to the market price.
