Jai Kali Maa temple: Pride of Jammu and Kashmir

This temple is located in the city of temples or we can say that this temple is situated in the heart of “Jammu”. The temple is of Maa Kali which is a Hindu goddess. Let me tell you about our goddess Maa Kali which is one of my ideal Goddess. Maa Kali is the Hindu goddess or Devi of death time and doomsday and is considered a strong mother figure and symbolic of motherly love.

The appearance of Mahakali is dark blue, gaunt with sunken eyes and wearing a tiger skin sari and a garland of human heads, ma kali’s tongue is sticking out. There is a story behind why ma kali’s tongue is sticking out, it is said that when Maa Kali is an extreme anger form of Maa Parvati so when Lord Shiva saw kali in this anger pond, he simply laid down under her feet and when she(maa kali) got realise that she touched her husband By foot because of mistakenly her tongue came out. her anger weakens instantly this show the love respect and dedication of women towards her husband in Hindu religion.

The sculpture of Mahakali and architecture of this temple is very glamorous. If you visit Jammu then you should show interest in this Temple, must attend this Temple. Without attending this Temple assume your Jammu’s journey incomplete. This temple is situated on the Bahu Fort which is on the left bank of river Tawi. The age of this temple is believed as 3000 years. On the entrance of this temple, there are many shops for your service you can buy sweets and things for idolization. You can also buy memorable things from there such as small figures god and goddess.

Be aware of monkeys in this Temple sometimes they create trouble for you. The mobile cameras and Leather belongings are not allowed here. You can submit your mobiles, leather and cameras at any shop near the temple. You can feel peace and comfort atmosphere there,  you can tell all your tensions to Mata Kali in return Mata will always provide you feeling of strength. Your weak soul always earns stamina there. You can also see the elegant view of  Jammu City from there. Try Barfi and halwa Prasad there this will give your mouth a sweet taste and freshen up your climate. May  Maa kali heals your all wounds.
