What is Article 15 of the Indian Constitution? Important Features and Provisions

My Times Today.Article 15 acts as an extension of Article 14 which talks about the fact that every person should be equal before law and should be treated equally the law. But, in the Indian context, it means that equals should be treated equally and unequal unequally. It states that the State shall not discriminate between citizens based on their:

Religion
Race
Caste
Sex
Place of birth or any of them.
Furthermore, such discrimination shall not exist with regard to use or access of public places:

Shops
Public restaurants
Hotels and
Places of public entertainment.
